I was interested in a XF awd vehicle at my local dealer. It has 200 miles on it, because it was used as a loaner. When I started to talk about the lease terms, he wrote me the following:

Unfortunately we can not lease this car as due to the fact that we started the clock on the car meaning we entered it as a dealer demo.

He said the car has never been titled, but, they will not lease a car that is sold as new, because "started the clock" as a demo. That struck me as strange. Any idea what is going on here.
