Default Differences: 2010 XFR vs. 2011 XFR

Hi there,
Calling all Jag owners that have been in the enviable position of owning a 2010 XFR and then a 2011 XFR (unless you went the other way for whatever reasons) . Can you all chime in on the key differences to be aware of? Also, general observations welcome. Thanks.

I really cannot comment on the differences, but imagine they are not significant. I can comment that 2010 is a Great car.

Both terribly fast. Watch out. 2011's include Platinum all maintenance for six years out while 2010 does not.

And if you go buy that little "R" emblem and attach it to the '11 grille, you may fool some people into thinking you have a '12! Or at least they will know it's an "R" from the front.

I know you were just kidding, but as an FYI for the OP... the style and color of the "Jaguar Performance R" changed on the '12+ Jaguar models. The 2010 & 2011 (and 2009, I believe in some countries) XFRs had the same style and color R across the car, even though neither came with it on the grill, as they started doing that on '12+ models. I have an '11, so even though it didn't come with an R on the grill, the way later models did, when I put one on the grill, it was the appropriate style and color for the model year and consistent with the rest of them on my car. The front bumper, headlights, etc. were also redesigned in '12, so I doubt you'll fool anyone by putting an R of any style or color onto the grill of a '10 or '11 model year XFR.

Not sure how it all pertained to XKs and XJs over the years, but I think this is pretty close...

I think maybe immediately prior to 2009 (from S-Type, I believe?):

2010-2011 (and I think 2009, in some countries):

2012+:
