Do door modules need coding? - 2012 XF
Hello,
I have a 2012 XF Portfolio and I just changed the passenger side window regulator because I was having trouble putting the window up. It would go up a bit and then stop, after about a minute or so, I could continue to put the window up.
After replacing the regulator, It works better but still stops mid travel, I have to wait a minute or so to continue to put the window up.
I'm assuming this is probably a door module issue with either the torque sensing or a transistor that drives the power for the motor.
I'd like to know, if I buy a used door module will the module need to be coded to the car?
Regards,
Bonanza
