Default Does New Expansion Tank Need New Cap
Need new expansion tank as the internal float doesn't float.

Is it best to get a new cap with the tank?

Your forum signature tells me everything but the Model Year and your forum profile shows you have an X-Type which prevents me giving the P/N.

New OE Expansion Tanks are complete with Cap and Warning Sensor.

Dealer said cap is extra, though the tank was cheapest seen for genuine Jaguar

Have replaced warning sensor

Should be C2Z11937

Unusual but a Jaguar Dealer should be right.

A box like this on other models tanks indicates an included cap.

Tank and cap are 101 GBP with delivery and the sensor was 12 GBP so maybe the ones for upwards of 144 would include the cap and sensor

When I had to replace mine it came with the sensor and not the cap, that was 3 years ago and haven't had an issue yet.
