Default Dreaded TPMS

OK, so I'm driving along fat, dumb and happy and pass through a short, sharp shower. A few minutes later my TPMS goes off telling me to check tire pressure in the right rear. Then the system flashes once or twice and the warning disappears. A moment later it comes on again and the tire indication is moving from one tire to the next, except for the right rear. Again, it stops for a minute and starts all over and remains until I pull into the garage and turn the car off. All tires appear to be OK and the pressures check. I know there have been a lot of issues with the early TPMS and I recently had the left rear one replaced. Is this a classic indication of the main module going bad, or should I look elsewhere?

From your description I would be checking the wiring under the car first for water ingress at the connectors.

Mine does it all the time also.

Used to only happen when raining but now happens all the time.

You find out what it is, tell me please.

I've ran into a few xf's with that symptom. usually ends up being the module at fault

No water in the car. I would suspect it is a coincidence with the rain shower and simply a faulty module. Not being up to speed on this particular system; I know there are sensors on each wheel (valve stem), is there one central module (under the seat)?

Four senders in the wheels, four receivers: two in front of the rear wheels and two behind the front wheels and one ECU I know not where.

I had a similar problem. It was the module.
