Hi, I have an issue with my 2008 XF in that when I try to lock the car with the fob, all the doors lock with the exception of the driver's door. I can lock it by opening the passenger door, leaning across and pushing the internal lock, and then getting out of the car and locking the rest with the fob. However, when I press the button to unlock the car, all the doors open no problem.

Anyone any idea what the issue might be and how I can fix it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

 

well known problem on XF. worn motor in door lock latch. can replace whole latch or only motor.

if you car is NOT keyless, its arround 25buck + 25min if you have screwdriver.

 

Keyless actuator module ran about $150 when I did mine (if you have the keyless). There is a good YouTube video showing how to do it step by step. Not too bad although a bit fiddly to get it out and the new one inside.
