What a car. Pure theatre. Very quick and very comfortable. This is a performance car you could drive every day as a daily driver. The handling is spectacular.

Just wondering, Jagular. How did the F-type ride comfort feel when compared to your present and ex XF? Did you notice a more dampened, smoother ride than in the XF?

I drove the base V6XF, my V8XF, my 2012XJL and the new 2013 XJL all in quick successions over the same 20 miles of freeway and was surprised to find that, for me, the F-type V8 appeared to have the most comfortable, least cabin-intrusive ride. I could hardly believe how well that 2 seater rode over fairly bad freeway surfaces that were punishing me in the sedans.

The F Types I drove had the active suspension and it works really well. The F Type has a stiff but compliant ride. The damping is as good as the sedans even with the stiffer springs.

You could use the the F Type as a daily driver no problem.

Hey Jagular,

Did have a chance to switch from performance mode to standard. I was suprised at how fast the car responded to the drivers input. I did get a chance to get on it alittle and couldn't believe how nice it rode over bumps and bridge joints. This thing is a rocket with some serious comfort. I never thought I would like a 2 seater, My mistake was taken the wife, Now she wants one, LOL..

My test car didn't have the programmable options. I think the suspension is always active. Dynamic mode sharpens everything up and most importantly runs a different transmission software. For weekend driving Dynamic mode would be my choice. Heck I'm even using it in my XF!
