engine overwarming
Here is my question, in the jaguar xf we don't have a gauge telling the engine temperature. a couple of mounth ago I went on a 1h trip with my jag and I came back home on restricted performance mode. turned out at this time my intercoolant pump for the supercharger had blown I changed it and since then the car work fine. but sometime I feel like the engine is too hot I can even feel heat in the cabin. but it's true that the outdoor temperature been like 40 degrees.
my worry is that I have to go on a 8 hours trip in a week and I don't trust my car lol and I would like to know if there is a way to check the engine temperature.

Off the top of my head the only thing I can think of is one of the Bluetooth LE OBD dongles which pair with an application on your phone giving you displays of oil/water temp etc. Something like this https://www.scantool.net

I bought one of these to use in my Lambo (they love to throw codes), and it works great. I am going to buy more to leave in the cars so I can read codes and details any time.
