First problem less than a week in- pass door issues
We bought a 13 CPO XF last week and my wife is having some door issues. Seems the pass side door latch set up has a mind of its own. Has been sometimes not unlocking with the fob, today she said it isn't latching (not staying shut). That I am assuming means it probably just needs a bit of grease as we did have ice then rain followed by some freezing temps today. Any ideas on the fob not wanting to unlock it all the time? Not sure the paperwork is even processed yet to take it to our local dealer and I have an appointment next week for my XK to get a bearing replaced at the shop I use as well as some tranny issues looked at on it so we wouldn't have a spare car for the week. Is there a simple fix? or maybe even a hard reset for the XF like the older models?
Thanks! She is loving the car otherwise, seems to be making excuses to take it for a drive.

I'd say to check the battery on the fob, as when my batteries get low, they work inconsistently (that's always my cue to change them). But, if the door isn't even latching at times, there's probably an issue with the door mechanism. If it helps, I owned an '09 XF Supercharged for 2 years, and have owned an '11 XFR for 5 years, and haven't had an issue like that, so it's probably (hopefully) a one-off that can be easily fixed by Jag. Good luck.
I have had issues with door locks and each time the CPO warranty takes care of a replacement door latch mechanism.
It won't be your fob battery, they either work all together or not at all. And the center display will tell you when your batteries are low when you get into the car to start it.

Thanks guys, was hoping to avoid taking it to a dealer. Or at least so soon for a little issue. I'm not used to someone else touching my cars so I need to find a dealer I can trust and the closest one has a very bad reputation so will probably take it to West Chester Jag instead. Regardless it is an hour each way out of way to go to either.
