Front & rear dashcam wiring --> airbags
I've bought the Blackvue 650 front -and rear dashcam for my 2010 XFR. I will run two wires: 1) from rearview mirror to the rear window for rear camera and 2) from rearview mirror to the 12V plug in center console for power
I could tuck the wires in the rubber seals on the A-pillar and above the doors however I dont want to risk interfering with the proper functioning of the airbags.
- Does anyone have instructions on how to run both these wires safely?
- or have a picture of how the airbags are mounted behind the A-pillar and the side-curtain airbags above the doors?
Also, any safety precautions I need to take before removing the A-pillar cover (and other covers), I mean so I dont accidentally trigger something which deploys the airbags...
Thx,
Cobalt

Good point but there's not enough space up there to put an external battery pack/UPS (T-Power Mobile). I will connect the dashcam to this pack to keep it running while the car is parked. It has a 'parking mode' where it only records for x-time when it detects motion.
Maybe I'll connect the pack to an "always-on" lead to leech from the main battery until a certain low-power-cut-off (the pack can be set at different levels) and then run the dashcam from the pack.
Have to find the right balance of being able to start the car after two/three weeks of parking and running the dashcam for that time on motion sensing.
