Front Suspension Squeaking
Recently developed a really bad squeak from the front struts / suspension. . Any ideas how to fix this? The squeaking goes away temporairily if I spray water on the suspension parts in the front wheel wells.
Thanks.
Thanks.
You must first isolate the source of the squeaking noise.
It may be from the upper wishbone arm bushes, which are not sold separately as a service part. It could also be one of the lower suspension bushes or the lower damper bush.

This sounds like it's going to be fun. It's strange in that it takes about 30 minutes before the squeaking kicks in. It started this morning then the car sat all day and in the evening it didn't do it at all until about 30 minutes later. Weird...
Try spraying individual bushes with a penetrating oil one at a time until you no longer hear the noise. Once you determine the source, you can replace the item causing the noise without guessing and spending more money.
