Default Fuel Gauge fault

So I've read several posts but do not see a clear answer. I recently bought a 2010 XFR with 25K miles on it back in December. We just had it at the dealer for a leaking sunroof which took out a few modules under the passenger seat. The dealer also cut the carpet under the rear seat, my guess is to access the fuel tank. Well we've had the car back for a few weeks and now the fuel gauge drops to empty and low fuel light comes on intermittently. I realize it may be the sending units. Any thoughts or TSBs?

the point of this post is that the car is out of warranty. JLR covered te sunroof leak, but the retailer said hes never seen the fuel gauge issue before , so I need some ammunition to approach them or go back to JLR.
