Default Gasket failure 2011 xf 3.0d

Only had my car for less 48 hours when broke down!!!

Harwoods Jaguar in Crawley have diagnosed that gasket failed near V on the engine cylinder. Will not know if this has caused further damage to engine until carry out full diagnosis..

Has anyone had similar problems?

First time Jaguar owner and thought I was purchasing a reliable premium car

I've just bought one myself and noticed your post. Head gasket failure on such a young car is very rare. Most likely cause is the engine overheated, probably result of a coolant leak. Given you've just bought it then I suspect the previous owner got rid of it knowing about the issue (ie it happened to them but self cured when the engine cooled down). Worth pursuing the seller perhaps, especially if their local jag dealer confirms they visited
