Default Wanting to buy a 2011 XF Premium , reliability ?

Just what the title says
I have 2 options , 2011 XF Premium 35000 miles ( certified pre owned )
2012 Base 6000 miles ( certified pre owned ) , 4k more expensive
Which one is more reliable ?

No brainer: The 2012 because 1) 29,000 less miles 2) updated front end 3) one more year of the CPO warranty.

Getting all of that for only 4K more is worth it.

Reliability is probably the same for both years.

The only thing stopping me would be my budget though

Well you did say in your initial post that you "had two options." If you can't afford the 2012 get the 2011. But keep in mind you should be getting an extended warranty once the CPO warranty runs out.

If you are so tight on money that you can't spring for another $4K for the better car, than you probably won't be able to sleep at night knowing something expensive to fix is about to break and drive you into financial ruins.

Get a Toyota or Honda instead. Jags are "premium" cars which like all premium brands means they aren't known for low cost of ownership. Get it? You pay a premium to buy AND own them. Don't be that guy that says, "a car that sold new for $60K should be better designed and built and should never break down."
