Hi I have a 2010 Jaguar XF with the 5.0 and the car was driving perfectly made multiple trips on it but I parked it at a friends house bc all of a sudden it wouldn’t come out of park the gear selector won’t rise up and the dash says park brake fault transmission fault and no special modes available. Before this it didn’t even have an engine light on let alone anything wrong with the car, other than you had to put it in drive and press the accelerator if you had previously engaged the parking brake. I think it simply needs another electronic gear selector, but could anyone shine some light on this situation or give me any tips to at least limp it home?
