Default Giant Paperweight

Bought a new 2013 XF in March…beautiful car and loving it.

Driving home one evening and the display cuts out while driving…comes back on a few miles later. Take it to the dealer to have it checked out and they say they can't see anything wrong…

Take the vehicle out of town and in the hotel parking lot, car will not push button start. Jaguar has it towed to a nearby dealer on a Saturday and somehow Monday morning when they get in, starts like a champ. They run tests but everything clears.

Driving Thursday and display goes out again…pull over to gas station where car refuses to push button start again. Towed to dealer and has been sitting in the same spot since.

I haven't seen any messages on this on the forum, but have seen similar situations from others on various sites. Only way I figured out how to force the car into neutral.

Anyone familiar with this situation?

I have had weird things happen when the battery gets a bad cell. Might be worth asking an auto parts store to do a free check of the battery with their tester.

When extremely weird and random things happen, the battery is almost always the culprit

They've completely replaced the battery and to no avail. As of yesterday it was parked in the exact same spot the tow truck driver left it, on their red carpet in front of the service window.

I always take a video with my phone now when things are wrong with any of my cars. That way you can prove there is something wrong, even if they can't exactly replicate it.

Further if you have lemon laws (canada doesn't really have them from what I understand) you'll be able to prove your case better.
