Default XF Navigation

Yes, I know, Jaguar nav is pretty bad. I know, I am on my 5th recent Jag and all their navigations were/are subpar when compared to Google or Garmin. But, as I've had a chance to drive my wife's XF for a week, the nav in that car is nothing short of horrible. I do not know how the car calibrates the location coordinates but, it appears to be off in this car. It constantly calls for turns where no turns exist, demanding me to make left turns on divided freeways. You follow it and you will be so lost that you might as well be in a wilderness. Too bad that I just dropped it off for its yearly service on the first day of driving because it obviously need some work to get it from horrible to just simply poor, like the other Jags I have had.

I would be complaining with you but there is just no in-car Nav that comes close to the convenience of Google Maps or Waze on a smartphone. So I wouldn't use it even if it was really good.

The real answer now is an in car infotainment that allows you to use the car's touchscreen as a second touch screen monitor for your phone. Hope they start working on that.
