Has anyone upgraded their bulbs to the HID's? The XF doesn't come with Xenon lights and it's difficult to see at night with the factory bulbs.

I have been wondering the same thing, I read on the UK forum that most of the guys there were replacing the halogen bulbs instead of installing HID (law restrictions). They said that Ring +100 bulbs are the best H7 replacement bulbs... hopefully this help!

 

The 2011 XF Premium does come with them.

Depending on the options and Model you buy, The XF does come with HID. In fact, I just changed out my HID for better blubs. I went with the 4300 kelvin which work great for me. I also changed out my highbeams to PHIAA super whites. They really look great and don't blind other drivers. Remember that you have to becareful not to get bulbs that can burn out your wiring harness. I would stay close to the Wattage requirements. IMHO.

 

HID (Hi Intensity Discharge) are totally different lamps requiring the proper housings and transformers. Replacing only the bulbs does not get you from the base model's halogen lights to HID.
