Thanks. I had put a link to the Amazon listing for one with that p/n, but it didn't stick for some reason.

I would do some more research and verify cooling is a problem before dumping money at it. I talked to guy in the UK that works on the Jag 4.2L's. He sells upgraded intercoolers for the older 4.2L cars. Here is what he said:

"Our intercoolers are only for the earlier cars (XK and XJ), but they had smaller intercoolers than your (2009 XF Supercharged) from the factory – so not such a problem with your car."

So before anyone goes out to buy parts to increase cooling make sure it's actually needed on the XF Supercharged 4.2L.

To that point, I inquired about an upgraded intercooler for my XFR and was told it really wouldn't help much. Said water/meth worked far better for a similar investment.

Hey Kyanite...let me know how your proceed on that...I am thinking about it as well...curious on how this would be accomplished and potential costs. Thanks!

Not going through with the water/meth injection. Thought I had a huge heat soak issue with the tune and pulley, but it turns out it was the supercharger coolant pump. Now that it's replaced, I don't have any drop off in power (dyno verified).

I spoke with Roger Snow from Snow Performance and he recommended one of their dual stage kits with mapping technology that gives a greater ability to control the spray and make it progressive. I believe the cost is $800 and I was quoted $300 to have a shop install it.

Maybe some day I will get the itch to go farther, but for now, having more hoses, nozzles etc. to have issues with as well as a tank to refill is more than I'm willing to tolerate. But I'm convinced, if properly set up, it will definitely make more power with water/meth than without. And I would never tune for water meth. Then you have percentages for the mixture to consider as well...

I still have the stock intakes, but I think I'm going to get some wrap and see what it does. I'm using the torque app to collect data on intake temps, so maybe I'll keep that up for a while, then wrap, then collect after data. May be interesting to see what difference it makes even for a stock intake.

Tools like Torque make collecting data so easy, yet folks persist in arguing performance issues by either their butt dyno or what their brother in law, the grease monkey, said.

Please record your data and report back!

Yeah, if I could just get the data upload to work. Can't seem to get my account set up with them.

Store the files on your phone and pull them off, that way you can make fancy graphs in excel.
