I'm surprised this is not in the faqs. I know is relatively easy but a procedure doesn't hurt. Besides these go out all the time. At the end of the article I show also a common problems with the non-HID setup which is the melting of the connector, how to fix it and where to get a new one for cheap.

This is a great write up. Many of the XF cars are getting older and many are having to perform maintenance without any warranty to fall back on. Many dealerships charge an arm an a leg for this simple procedure. This is very helpful. Thank you!

 

Yeah I agree. The first thing I noticed while I was looking at the FAQs for the XF is how little information there is. I was suprised this subject hasn't been tackled yet. In my shop I'm seeing a lot of XFs now do hopefully I can post more information soon.

 

Any instructions on the 2012 with HIDs? The holes in the inner fender arent there but the assembly seems to be bolted in the same way.

 

The bolt is there also for the HIDs.
