Default How long does an OEM water pump last?

I have about 17,000 miles on my water pump and crossover pipe that was done at the dealership. I check my coolant every morning to make sure that it’s full because im cautious. My question is how long are these water pumps usually good for before they have to be replaced? What about the crossover pipes? Does anybody have any issues of having them fail one right after another?

A good OEM wp should last 40 and 70kmi. The AJ133 and AJ133SC 5.0 is so sensitive to over temp, I would change its wp a maximum of every 3 years, luckily it's not a hard job. The plastic crossovers front (5.0 only)and back (5.0&SC) only I'd say are good for at least 70kmi.

Ok, good to know for a 5.0, but with a 2015 3.0 with 30k miles, when might be a good time to start concerning myself?

Mine is a 2012 2ith 30K miles and honestly, all the plastic parts I removed looked just fine. I know a visual inspection on these types of parts isn't the best for determining if issues exist but everything seems very robust still. I changed my front "Y" pipe and the top tube because they were the older 2 piece design and I was concerned about any stress they had received during prior warranty work at the dealership. The only damage to the parts looked to be due to prior removal/refitting.

The rear cross over pipe that let go on my XFR a year ago, it's cracked but the only way to know it's cracked was to pressure test the cooling system.

It looks normal.

Until it's under pressure.

I had water pump replaced in July 2017 when I first purchased the car and again in December 2017, the second time covered by the 1 year parts warranty. In between, Jaguar had yet another part number update, by then they were on the eighth version. We don't know if each part number change has been a design change or simply a manufacturer/supplier change, but it does seem that they have been trying to figure it out. The jury is still out whether they've finally solved the issue with version #8. From forum feedback it would seem that you need to plan on a water pump every 25K-50K miles as opposed to every 100K-125K for most other cars. The PA66 nylon crossover pipes don't seem to have near as much feedback yet. Plastic failure is generally more age-related than strictly mileage related, so I think we'll probably start seeing more reports as these 5.0L are starting to get over ten years old.
