Default How to re-finish hood bonnet lining?

I have an XFR that has the hood lining coming apart around the hole below the vent in the hood. If you look through the vent, you can see the yellow core of the lining. The rest of it is OK, so I am thinking of doing a repair. My first thought was to get my hot melt glue gun out, but then thought the engine heat might be enough to remelt it.
So I welcome any suggestions as to the best stuff to use, or any alternative fix.

Andy take a look in the S section, a few of the guys have replaced the liners, I suppose a repair will follow the same principles.

I've seen that, thanks Norri. It's such a small repair, just around the vent hole, I want to try and stick it back together. I'll probably try clear general glue.

Why not claim under your warranty?

Try the 3M spray adhesive. It's workable and non-permanent.

Thanks, I hadn't appreciated how extensive the warranty service is with Jaguars. The dealer has one on back order for me.

I've had some great service from Jaguar main dealer in Oxford, very impressed. I would say the are at least on a par with Lexus, who seem to pick up all the dealer high scores

Lexus service is amazing. But so are their profit margins. You don't get much more than a Toyota in drag when you buy a Lexus, the service should be good as you pay in advance for it! Mind you, they are very well built.

Jaguar in Canada is pretty good now for service. At least they are polite and work hard if not always successfully.
