Default Check Engine light oh $hit!

Hey folks, early this cold morning the check engine light lit and stayed lit. Nothing wrong with the engine what so ever. When I turn the engine I see a red display on the speed screen for a breif second looks like something about the battery. Upon start up I turned on the front heated seats and the lights. THis could have triggered a low bat alarm. I will test the battery and charge it and then reconnect. In the event I have to check codes, I have a OBD reader. Where do you connect the plug?

Thanks, Riq

If your '10 is like my '11 then you'll find it under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. You should see a rectangular slot in the under-dash cover where you can access the plug.

Most CEL (MIL) mean nothing. If intermittent the light goes out after a specified number of ignition cycles. If a fault then it will be electrical as 95% of CEL are triggered by electrical component failure.
