How will the gracenote database be updated

Hi a newbie here. I tried searching and couldn't find and answer. I was just wondering how will the gracenote database in the 2012 Jags get updated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Storm did you find any information on gracenotes update my 2011 xj display reads please insert gracenote disc nav acting funny thx for any info
