I didn't create any new threats for a while, so decide to make another one mod in mine X250 and as usual something which was never made no one on this planet before

As the InControlApps menu was activated a long time ago, I decide find components.


For those who didn't know yet what InControl Apps Module can do, here is the small video:
About 10 months I'm was trying to catch the module for reasonable price, 'cause I doesn't want to spend only 700-800GBP only for module.
During February 2017 I have found TIM module and AUI module interface (both from X152, 2016MY).





When the module was arrived I have ordered necessary wiring looms for Telephone Module install from Jaguar XE:

Housing for TIM module YPC804470
IAM lead - TIM module T4N10311
FCDIM lead - TIM module T4N10312
USB - TIM module T4N10316

According schemes from TOPIx solved wiring and connect almost all wires to Rear Junction Box, except wiring which are was routed to Touchscreen.

After the wiring was sorting, module set in new place:




After full installation the InControl even doesn’t starting as must be, also there was errors with CAN bus with 2013MY Touchscreen, so I was found the Touchscreen from 2015MY and InControlApps alive




Now I have:
- Spotify
- AccuWeather
- Cover albums while song playing from phone
- Audiobooks reader
- News
- Shell App
- Genius Maps with online TMC, rerouting guidance.
- etc...

Now I even have the album covers in Music submenu InControlApps:

do you think it would work on 2011 cars?

 

Theoretically it should run on vehicles from VIN S20753, but needs to software update in some modules and replace the Touchscreen from 2015MY.

Yes, it's possible to be retrofitted in 2014MY. Yes, InControlApp supports iPhone via Jaguar InControl App software.

For those of us less mechanically inclined, I would like to see a detailed parts list of the modules and harnesses involved, plus the other steps to get it done and working.
