Default Jaguar shuttered my local dealer - not happy

I am in the middle of warranty work and I now have to start all over at a dealer 100 miles away. My old dealer was 2 miles from my home.

My dealer told me that because they share the same building as Porsche, Merc, VW, and Audi, Jag pulled the license because they require a separate building for Jag/LR.

I called Jag USA and put in a complaint, due to work that is not done and now having to start all over. Also now will take a full day and 200 mile trip for even the simplest service.

Now, when the car is acting up, I have to have my car flat-bedded to the dealer 100 miles away, rent a car on my own dime, and hope like hell Jag reimburses me for the costs for however long the work takes.

This borders on breach of contract for the CPO warranty I paid for. Getting service now takes at least a day of my time just driving to and from without consideration of the service time.

CPO is a after warranty from jaguar deal ship it is not a jaguar warranty they are known for giving people the run around so that they can pay as little as posssible next time before you buy a after warranty from any dealer ship check what the fine print says my warranty from the dealer ship does not have the fine print like what yours does & by the way the dealer ship I deal with is in with BMR, audi,& Porsche and they are in same building so I think you bought a warranty that is out to rob you & they will find any reason to not pay

My CPO is direct from Jag, even the financing is with Jag.

It is not an aftermarket warranty, and it is even fully transferable if I sell it prior to the 6yr/100k zero deductible warranty period.

There may be more to this story than your dealer is telling you. Most states have laws that protect franchise dealers from manufacturers doing just what you described. More than likely, there was probably some performance clause, which your dealership did not live up to and knew they could not, or cared not to fight in court.

If the area still has good sales potential don't be surprised if someone else picks up the franchise and opens a new location close by.

Cheers and good luck

The only way you will see another dealer is if the local Land Rover dealer takes on Jaguar, or someone opens a new Jaguar Land Rover store. There goal is to have no stand alone dealers. They want all dealers to sell both brands.
