Jaguar XF 2009 passenger side windscreen washer hose has become detached
I have searched pretty much the entire internet for someone with the same issue as me but came up blank, so I'm posting here in the hope someone can help out.
After a particularly nasty winter a year ago I found that the passenger side windscreen washer was not working. Further investigation showed that the hose was working normally, but the hose had become detached from the jet under the hood and was just firing water everywhere under the bonnet. Fairly simple fix right? Just re-attach the host to the jet. Unfortunately it's not that simple. There seems to be very limited access to the jet - there is a small hole which I can just about get my hand into along the path of the hose, but I can't get close enough to reattach it.
Furthermore, I can't see an easy way of removing the panel which is blocking access, and looks like the sort of thing I'd need to take to a mechanic to sort out.
At present the hose is routed out the side and I'm not using the washers at all, which can be real problematic with all the salt which gets kicked onto the windscreen at the moment.

This is not unusual, have had it happen to me several times both sides , seems as the pipe gets old it loses its grip. As you found access is poor, so I ran new pipe to both washers by running it on top of the scuttle cover, if you look on the offside just in front of the wiper there is an access cover remove it and the T junction from the washer bottle is there. I drilled a hole alongside the cover and brought the pipe up through that, job done and no moor scraped hands. Hope this helps. Keith
