Default Hose detached from engine coolent, but did not overheat, now no fluid

Hi,

I noticed a funny smell when driving lately and smokiness coming up from my front hood when parked. Last night I heard a fan staying on after I parked. So I took pictures of what it looks like. I saw a hose going to the engine coolant detached and looked inside. There is no fluid insde to be seen at all on max or min lines, but fluid must have shot out all around the outside. Could it be a simple problem of getting a new hose? Car never over-heated on dash. Is it safe to drive to a mechanic shop? Thank you. It's a 2004 S-type.

Also, I noticed what is seen around a screw in tge other p8cture...like crumbly dirt.

I would not start the engine.

If it seizes you'll need a new engine, probably costing more than the car is worth.

Whether you get someone to come out to the car and fix it or have it towed is up to you.

Ok. I will just have it towed to the shop. It's been a good car for me these past two years so if it's just a worn hose, it's def worth fixing. Thank you.
