I've a message pope up in the display, 'battery not charging' and all of a sudden the steering got locked. What could be the possible reason? i replaced my old battery with a new battery a month before.

Uh, the thing that charges the battery: the alternator

You were probably slow to change out a bad battery, and the bad battery put a strain on the alternator, and now you get to replace that too.

Not necessarily, you can check the altenator voltage while car is on/off. Use voltage meter

Hello Sultan, I had the same problem yesterday. Did you find the reason for it?
