Angry Just bought a 2010 XF S/C and have an issue

New here, and and absolutely loving my XF so far. I bought it last week, and just noticed the dash kind of coming up near the windshield. From the outside, looking in, this is what it looks like near the center channel grill.

Has anyone seen this before? I tried to tuck it back, but it seems there has been a shrinkage in the leather or something..its super tight. I'm pretty sure it's covered under warranty, but I hope it's not a big process to fix. I dont want to hear rattles if they pull up the whole dash!

Just looked at mine and it is tightly under that black trim all the way across.

This is an issue in some markets on 09's and early 10's. See your dealer for dash with updated design

Well I took it in this morning and they are ordering me a new dash. The service advisor said he has seen this before, and it's a pain in the dASSh to replace.

He asked me if I bought it through them, and I said no, I just bought it last week but I have been coming to them for service on my Range for a few years, and plan on bring the Jag there too. He was a little perturbed and asked if I brought to to where I bought it first? I said no, it's still under warranty and I should be able to bring it anywhere. He agreed, and they are going to fix it, but I they kind of gave me a small attitude at first.

Several owners have reported this issue. It is probably caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat due to regular parking outdoors without a sunshade or windshield cover.

I can't understand why they would not want to do this job. Dealers do make money on warranty jobs. Profit of 650.00 or more on the part + 4 hours labor. A competent tech can beat the time do it in about an hour! Pure gravy

I'd be looking for another dealer. Good luck with your dash.
