Key can not find after battery change
Hi I have a 2015 xf that has had its alternator replaced and now it won't start, the battery has been removed. I have heard that you have to remove the key from the car and let all fuse boxes rest for about 30 minutes before working on the car could that be true, now it is about to be replaced modol and new key
Plz help

Very common problem and you will need to search as there are different causes. Can you get the car hooked up to the Jaguar SDD system?
That's usually required. Forget the resting fuses theory.
Can you tell us what is being replaced and why? Without codes you don't know what your cars problems are. Sometimes you need to reprogram different modules. Others have had to replace CJB (Central Junction Box).
Alternators can cause problems as well. Was your OEM unit rebuilt or is this an after market replacement? Many problems using after market units and it's far better to have your OEM alternator rebuilt. That way you know it's correct for your car.
Finally can you DIY any of this? That is the key to owning a used Jaguar.

Hi is 2 time is do this first time only change battery and now and after changing the alternator it won't work anymore and body module b doesn't work anymore my question is could it be that the workshop that did it didn't check if there was enough volts on the battery as I can read that could be why it loses the key it must be said that it wasn't the jaguar workshop that did it the car could drive to the workshop but couldn't drive from there and they say it's not their fault i need help
Good suggestion from Dennis but we need numbers? Saying the battery was low is of no help?
After the car has sat all night measure the battery voltage. Then start the car and measure again. This will only be the beginning BUT we must start somewhere?
