Default Key left in car

If a keyless key is left in an XF does it still self lock?

It is not supposed to but it can. I would never trust it and do that because to many things can cause a momentary signal lost and then a auto lock. I mean hell your smart phone always has a great signal right

I had my keys in my golf bag, finished my round, dropped the bag in the trunk and pressed the outside door lock to head in for a beer. Locked myself out.....would have thought the trunk button would open with the key so close. No luck. Live and learn.
