Default Looking for ignition switched circuit

Hi everyone, I currently have a 2012 XFR that replaced a 2011 base model lease I just turned in. I'm looking for a place to hardwire my radar detector in to turn on with the car. On the 2011 I used fuse 16 on the interior fuse panel which is for the sun shade (which that car did not have). Now on the 2012 I'm trying to use the same circuit but it seems to never turn off when I lock the doors like in the 11. I can't seem to find the wire that goes to the cigarette socket which seems to turn off when the car is locked. Any ideas where I can tap into?

Thanks

Can you give me something more specific? Im using a Escort Passport 9500xi with the smart cord which means I run the cable around the window down by the pedals. Im looking for a 12V power source that turns on and off with the ignition or locks. Or are you saying to use the fuse for the headlamp leveling and rearview mirror light?

I have the same detector hardwired in my car. I will try to remember today to pop the panel and take a picture of the fuse that was used.

I got it figured out. I found wiring diagrams on the net and tapped into the blue /white stripe wire going into connector 6 on the interior fuse panel. This wire turns on and off when you unlock /lock the car. I guess the most confusing thing to me is the difference between 2011 and 2012 in the way the panel is powered.

I guess it is where you are mounting your unit, but the power at the rear view mirror is exactly where I powered mine and it is ignition dependent and the windshield mount was placed right behind the mirror (hardly noticeable ) Also the fuse in the engine bay that also works is the one the powers the headlight leveling (check your manual) and total amperage is not exceeded I believe (two way connector)

Same way I did mine. Right behind the mirror out of sight.

The cord in using has a small remote box with lights and a mute button. Here is the pic. http://www.escortradar.com/img/dirsmrt.jpg

So you see I put that small remote by the center console so I have quick access to the mute button. Then I need power not up by the mirror. I'll take pictures this weekend to show more detail.
