Default Loud high pitch sound from loudspeakers

The other day I was driving on M11 and suddenly there was a very loud and high pitched sound from the loudspeakers that lasted for aprox. half a minute. I was not able to turn the volume down nor swith the radio off. When the sound stopped there was a message on the radio/gps screen saying that there was no connection with Blue Tooth and the radio started to work normally after that.

This happened around a month ago and has not happened again. And let me for the record say that my car is a Jaguar XF 3.0 from 2012.

That noise was extremely annoying and penetrating and worried me a lot about what was going on. Any answers about what could have happened and how to avoid similar experiences in the future?

Welcome to the forum ExPat,

I've moved your question from X150 to X250 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

You should add details of any BT devices linked and/or in use at the time.

In addition to embassies, Russia is now targeting moving vehicles with their EMP sonic beam.
