Michelin Pilot Super Sport VS Yokohama Advan
Okay at 15k miles my rear tires are deep into the wear bars for some strange reason.
I am torn between these two tires both are rated similar on tire rack ect.
Here is what is important to me.
#1> Dry Traction
#2> Ride
#3> Noise
I had also considered the Bridgestone s04 pole position but read a few user reviews where noise was a huge issue.
Anyone with experience on either tire please comment.

Have had the Advan sports, and was happy with them as I got them dirt cheap. They gave good comfort and low noise, but the traction wasn't good.
The Super Sports are excellent, little more susceptible to tramlining then the advans (could be as I also use a slightly larger/wider tire size, so hard to judge). The comfort is about the same as the Advans, but the traction is so much better, they win hands down.

Ditto.
And we have the same requirements.
The Bridgestones didn't bite. The Avans are too soft.
The Super Sports are outstanding.
And I'm glad you didn't select Pirelli. Far too soft... And without the traction one expects.

I've got over 10K on a full set of super sports that I transfered from my previous XF to my current XF. Their traction is great, they are quiet, and they show very little wear on the front or rear pairs.
I'm going to the Dyno Monday morning to see if my used XF SC is stock or not. It is missing the 155 mph govener.
I will let the dyno drums cut up the Dunlops and order the Michelins on Monday. The front tires at 15k miles still are pretty close to new so I'm going to have a ghetto XFSC for a while with mis matched front-rear tires :-)

Just be careful driving with mismatched tires in the rain - can be dangerous if you like to push the car. It throws off the vehicle's handling characteristics.

Allow me to put in another vote for the Supersports. We have those on my wife's BMW 135i, and they've really transformed the capabilities of the car. Great in the dry, really good in the wet, reasonably quiet, and so far pretty good wear.
Thank you for posting that review, it confirms my research PSS is the best tire!
I also LOVE Kumho SPT's :-) I had them on my G35 Sedan for about 20,000 miles and found them to be very sticky and a little noisey. They are $259 a tire vs the PSS $335 a tire. The PSS does everything they do better and quieter and doesn't get loud at the end of its life. The Kumho's are also on backorder everywhere.
I'm going to try to get a trip to the dragstrip out of my Dunlop's and then buy the PSS's.
One of my other cars is a Sequoia Limited with all season Yokohama Geolanders so when it gets cold we drive that on road trips. I can get away with running Summer Performance Tires year round in Phoenix. There are a couple mornings January and February where its below 32 degrees on my drive in and I just am careful. From October - May Phoenix is 65-80 degrees for a high no humidity and nice warm sunshine. Its heaven until mid may when it gets above 100. Mexico is a 3 hour drive San Deigo is a 6 hour drive so we just try to spend the summers in either.

I had Michelin PSS installed yesterday and have put about 100 miles on them.
Feedback is positive, I can now use 1st gear with the trac DCS. They are very quiet! Grip is amazing cornering, acceleration and stopping. The only negative if it turns out to be one is feedback, I can feel the road alot more through the steering wheel especially uneven pavement. The Dunlop's didn't transmit much back but the PSS give the sensation that your hand is touching the pavement the entire time. That would be a huge plus for any track events, its not yet annoying but time will tell. These tires are 100% performance 1st, comfort 2nd. Which is what I wanted.
Costco had them installed in 45 min!
I kept the Dunlop take offs so I can have Costco swap a Dunlop back on if I have a roadhazard replacement. They said they would do it for free. I have a 3 car garage so I have space behind my Jeep to store tires and there is already a stack.
I will post pictures later when my car is clean
