Default Mina lowering springs

Does anyone have these on their xf? They lower the car 1.2” and I think they would look great. My biggest concern is how the ride would be with the springs.

Anyone with these want to share some pictures and how the ride is?

Lowering the XF seems a bit of an overkill. It already has a very crouched down stance. Ride would turn you car into a bouncy japanese looking tuner.

There were pictures of a member with lowering springs. I think it was a blacked out SC 09. I'd agree with Rique.

I love the look of lowered vehicles, just me. And about an inch would be perfect without going to the tucked and streched look of vws. The ride is what im curious about, because I dont want a bouncy japanese tuner.

I have my other car lowered about 2 inches and it rides fine with the koni adjustables on medium.

Mina states that the springs keep the ride about the same with minimal harshness.

I did some searching, and found the member manofsteel has/had that blacked out 09 sc. In his post he said that there was no real ride difference between stock and eibach springs.

I might try this after I order the mina exhaust.

This is true. My 09 had the Mina springs and it didnt change the ride since it didnt lower it much. The handling was improved of course. The install was a PITA!

does the xf have adj camber? if not, you will be going through tires pretty quick.

I'm not to worried about camber, adjustable or not. I don't believe it is adjustable but maybe one of the techs can chime in.

With the wishbone style suspension the xf,xk, and xj use you will always have some negative camber. A little bit of negative camber is not a bad thing. I'd be more concerned with toe of the tires. That will eat a tire up a lot faster then a -2 or -3 camber. With about a one inch drop I think the camber won't be far enough off specs to be concerned about.

I am interested in these as well but I don't want to screw anything up. H&R provides a similar drop but indicates that "Performance aftermarket shocks or struts are highly recommended in this application".

+10000000

I think the XF has a perfect stance already. And, it was engineered to have a specific handling charactericstics/balance with the factory springs.
Plus, lowered vehicle = scraped bumper covers and tailpipes. You have to be extremely carefully pulling in and out of inclined driveways. Just not worth it....

Also, a lot of those companies will advertise 1" drop and two months later you have more like 2" drop.

These look like interesting options that are made specifically for our car. I think it would drop the car by less than 1 inch.

Yep...I've seen this myself. The stance of the XF is perfect for me too.

Just a FYI, I was told they are the exact same as the Eibach springs just painted and branded for Mina to sell. Not sure if it is a fact but I will find out for you guys if you want.

BigCat,
I'm in the NY area too and I'm interested in the Mina or Eibach springs. If you get the chance, can you find out if there are any differences between the two brands? And how bad was the install if you called it a major PITA?
Thanks!

Has anybody tried the Spires springs from the UK? They provide less drop but are expensive.

Note that Spires suggests not lowering the XF by much. They suggest 18 mm (3/4 of an inch) in their coil over bumf.

Slightly incorrect
Mina springs are made by Vogtland in Germany,
Eibach claims to be in-house designed and made by them as well.

Hey guys I posted a new similar thread before reading this one. Does anyone have any answers now that it was posted about 2 months ago.

Which are the best and did you also buy struts? Will any of these springs affect the Jaguar adaptive suspension? Will any of these springs wear down the suspension any quicker if struts aren't added?

Any help would be appreciated!
