Default Mirror Dip Enabled in Settings, But Doesn't Do Anything

Anyone have an idea why?

This (and my other post about Global Closing) beg the question "If the option exists in the Settings menus, shouldn't it work?

Had the same issue. Dealer replaced a board near the sun roof switch. Check microphone use with blue-tooth or Nav right after. The mechanic didn't hook my back up after service.

When you set the passenger door mirror to "dip" you can also set how far it dips, using the usual adjuster. Maybe someone has adjusted this setting so that it doesn't actually dip. I can't remember the exact sequence but I followed the manual to set mine so that it only dips by about half the standard setting.

Post #3 may have you covered on the Mirror Dip.

I didn't see your other post about Global Close, but you probably need to see your dealer and have him enable it. The ability to do that wasn't in IDS/SDD originally. They can now fix you up.

Here's what Jaguar had to say:

2010 Model Year XF and XK - Global Close Feature
Inoperative

As described from the Owner's Manual, operation of the Global Close
feature is only permitted through the interior and exterior locking
buttons. Global Close is NOT designed to operate from the remote
handset lock button.

Concern:
A customer may present the concern that the Global Close feature
does not operate from interior or exterior locking buttons and/or states
that the "Global Close – On" button, from the Vehicle Settings >
Security Menu, will not remain selected in the "On" state.

Cause:
The vehicle's configuration for Global Close is not currently set.
Action:
Please refer to the attached PDF document for instructions on enabling
this setting. On customer complaint you will need to contact the Jaguar
Technical Helpline with your "Seed Code" from your current IDS
session. Please make sure you have this code before calling. After
performing the attached procedure, the Global Close feature will be
allowed and will also stay selected from the Vehicle Settings > Security
Menu.
We will advise manufacturing change VIN when known.

UPDATE
Manufacturing have re-instated Global Close from the following
VINs:
XF - R62815
XK - B35955

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
