Missing Bluetooth
What model / spec do you have? I thought they all had Bluetooth
What are you looking to do? If streaming music you can just get a USB / iPod connector adaptor for Bluetooth and plug it into the socket inside the center armrest. But for phone pairing you need the BT module which sits under the passenger seat on US spec models.

This might work if car did not come with bluetooth but does have the I-Pod connect in centre storage.

I purchased a 2010MY X250 about a month ago. The phone screen showed the handset with the diagonal line through it.
Car does have the bluetooth module so I assumed it is bad. I found a cheap used one on EBay for $30 and while I was waiting for it to ship I researched using the I-Pod connection as a way to connect.
I found this 30-pin connector on EBay for $8, plugged it into I-Pod cable and was able to pair and dock my android phone with no issues.
A much easier fix than removing the seat and replacing the module.

It recognized and downloaded my contact list that I can access on screen or using voice command.
If I ask to make a call it shuts off the music and switches to the phone on speaker, then returns to music when I hang up.
The only thing I haven't had the chance to check is if it will stop playing music and switch to phone on an incoming call.
I do have one question, if anyone cares to answer.......
I get having to pair the phone on bluetooth, but what does "docking it" mean?
Is that strictly related to using the I-Pod connection?

Good to know if does phone and music!
Yes the phone pairs with the BT adaptor. Docking is the car header unit connecting with the phone - 'docking' with it. As it thinks it's just an iPod connected on a cable so it uses old terminology
