Default Mobil 1 ESP vs. Castrol Edge Pro C1

Hate to restart an issue that has already been widely discussed, but the specs on these two EO's are virtually identical. In fact, other that Castrol being 0.11 lower in sulphated/ash wt., the Mobil 1 ESP produces superior protection (ie. viscosity performace across the board, pour point, HTHS, etc...). Am I missing something here? Why in the world won't Mobil 1 ESP meet the WSS-M2C934-B specifications?

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

I think that Mobile 1 may just meet the specs, if you can believe the linked web page:

Mobil 1 5W-20

As to me, I just purchased the Castrol Edge variation. I was told that the higher spec numbers, MC940 vs MC925 actually supersedes the Jaguar specified oil.
