So my bluetooth is finally fixed...XF2011
But i am unable to stram music via bluetooth. Is that not possible or am i missing something?

This has been covered a couple threads down. And also page two about 10 threads down. I would put the links up, but haven't had luck the last few times. Get this, it was highly recommended. HTC Bluetooth Music Streaming Stereo Clip Adapter - CAR A200 they have a A100 model, but get the 200 it's $45 on Amazon.

I was wondering how you fixed the Bluetooth problems? I have just purchased a used XF 2011 5.0 V8 SC and I am having exactly the same issues as you had, search button inactive.

The original poster was asking about Bluetooth music streaming. Bluetooth music streaming is NOT supported in the 2009-2011 XF. The Bluetooth functionality is only for making and taking phone calls.

As chXFS noted above you can buy something like the blackberry music gateway that will allow Bluetooth music streaming via the aux port. I have it and it works great.

Thank you for your reply, my apologies I was referring to the ability to make and receive calls from the XF built in Bluetooth system (for the Bluetooth Music I am using a Belkin Auto, which is great), a new XF Jaguar BT unit is approx. $550 plus fitting, they have to remove the driver seat and duct and the unit is below that however in 2011 they had some issues with the Bluetooth software on the XF and it needs to be upgraded, I am hoping it is that and it is a simple fix.
