I was confused too when I first seen the car. Car was originally bought for a senator or governor Bc first 3 years car was registered to the state of Michigan. And yes the front bumper is different then the normal XF also the side skirts.

I also have an "S" badge on mine. It came from the factory that way. So it must mean something. I have the 5.0l NA motor. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

You both have the Sport Limited Edition. It was a North American release version which began in the model year 2011. It had nothing to do with it being the base model or not. The package could be ordered with any of the tiered naturally aspirated models. So, technically, you could call it an "S" for SPORT not SUPERCHARGED. I had the same model which I traded in for my current XF. The Limited Edition Sport package included the carevela wheel package, trunk spoiler, side skirts from the XFR, unique front bumper, black pack grill, and piano black veneers. It later became known simply as the "sports package" and is an add-on to any tiered model XF from 2013-2015. I have the package on my 2015 XF as well.
