congrats on the car, it looks great!

i dont know who added the "S" badge, but there's no such thing. I hope you werent misled during the sale that it was a "S" model. The only letter for those years is "R"

This is a beautiful car...but when the photos were taken your fuel tank was almost empty as shown by the reading on the instrument panel. A warning: in-tank fuel pumps are cooled by the fuel around them. If you habitually let the tank get close to empty (particularly in hot weather) you are courting fuel pump failure ($$$$$$) and the most common cause of failure is over-heating, I had this pointed out to me by my dealer's service advisor. When the gauge reads 1/4 full it is time to think about refilling.

Thanks for the pointer. I usually don't like to let it run low. Trust me I know these things need a bank to keep maintained I just had the fuel pressure pumps changed at the dealer set me back $2400

Looks great

This should be in the X250 forum - not the X260 one. Maybe a mod can fix it?

I'm sorry "kitchen," you have been misled. In model year 2011, the "XF Supercharged" model is sometimes nicknamed "XFS," other than that there truly is no such thing as an "XFS," and yours certainly isn't. In 2011 there were 5 models of XF, listed from bottom to top they were: XF Luxury, XF Premium Luxury, XF Portfolio, XF Supercharged, and XFR. Yours, my friend, is a "Luxury," more commonly known as "Base," the bottom of the line. To be sure, this model could be dressed up with options and optional packages as yours has been, but it is still a base model with the base level seating and dashboard surfaces (not true leather as the other four models) and fewer features. You have the optional "Sport Package" which is mostly cosmetic exterior trim changes, but this does not change that you have the base model of the five available. The other four models have features such as blind spot monitors, rear camera, front parking assist, active heated and cooled ventilated seats, keyless entry, and other features I believe yours is missing. The S badge and chrome side vents are aftermarket additions, not factory equipment.

My 2010 XFS had the exact same "S" badge on the boot, in the same spot.
But the Oz XFS was the same as the UK and Euro XFS, it had a 3.0 litre V6 twin turbo diesel instead of the 5.0 V8 petrol. And it was most definitely an "XFS", this really was the correct model designation for it. However I agree there never was a US version officially called XFS, so maybe Kitchen23's car had a "Euro" S badge added at some point.
As for the chrome side vents, they were a factory option, but also they could be added on later as after-market stick on covers, I did that and the covers look factory.

You are correct Oz, I was referring only to the North American market when I said there was no 2011 XFS. Also in that market, the chrome mirror covers, side vents, various badges, and other pieces were accessories (not factory options) which could be bought as parts and dealer installed if desired.

interesting, this is a learning experience for us.

There is another thread here asking the same question about the "S". someone was saying Jag made a very limited run of them.

The other thing i wanted to point out is that his front bumper does in fact look a little different to the regular XF (unless my eyes are playing tricks on me)

This is the other thread, nearly six years old now: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...edition-56057/
The OP's spec sheet says "Sport Limited Edition", and it matches the details in that old thread. So yes, it was a genuine XF model, but for a limited time only and hard to tell if it was a factory model or a "dealer special", although it looks factory to me. That said, it's still not an XFS, it's an XF Sport Limited Edition.

Ya but "S" is on the window sticker from the dealer not later put on. Dealer did say there was a limited number of them made and hard to come across them. I was confused too when I first seen the car. Car was originally bought for a senator or governor Bc first 3 years car was registered to the state of Michigan. And yes the front bumper is different then the normal XF also the side skirts.
