Default My version of custom intake pipes (2nd gen MAS setup)

Since the only aftermarket intake pipe setup is for the 1st generation air filter boxes, I decided to make my own.

This setup is on my 2013 V8 SC and the MAS outlet is 3.25" and the throttle body inlet is 3.75".

Parts used are:

One 3.75" to 3.5" silicone reducer in black
Two 3.25" to 3" silicone reducer in black
Two 3" 45 degree silicone coupler
One 3" 2 foot long aluminum pipe with a 45 degree mandrel bend in the middle
One CXRacing 3.5" to dual 3" aluminum "T" pipe
One 3.75" t-bolt clamp
One 3.5" t-bolt clamp
Two 3.25" t-bolt clamps
Four 3" t-bolt clamps
One 1/2" NTP silicone port fitting
Very small amount of JB Weld
6 inch piece of 3/4" heater hose
Two 1" worm clamps
One 3/4" pipe nipple with 1/2" NTP threads

On to the pictures.

Throttle body 3.75" to 3.5" reducer

Throttle body clamp

T-pipe, cut about 1/2" of silicone off the 3.5" end to clean up the excess material hanging over

Supercharger snout has plenty of room, nothing is touching any part of the engine, ducting, or other pipes/hoses

I can't weld aluminum so I used a "silicone port system" and used a very small amount of JB Weld on the inner flange and outer nut assembly. I used the heavy duty 550 degree spec. Same stuff I have used on turbo blow off valve flanges that refuse to seal

On both the 3" 45 degree couplers, I cut about 1.5" of silicone off both ends to clean up excess overhanging silicone. Looks much better and shows of the polished pipes.

Plenty of room

Done 8

This is where I sourced the silicone parts, clamps, and aluminum pipe.

This is where I sourced the "T" pipe.

For those of you wanting to know cost.

Silicone intakes bill was just under $125 plus shipping

CXRacing was about $40 plus shipping

Autozone was about $10 for the pipe nipple and heater hose.

If you search, you can find a 10% off coupon code for Silicone intakes to further reduce your bill.

That's really interesting and looks really good. No codes, I presume? How much did it end up running and how much time?

The final setup is about $185 w/o shipping.

Took me about 5 hours of getting the angles correct and pipes cut at the correct angle.

I took my time cutting the 3" aluminum 45 degree pipe. Cut long and test fit, cut a little more, test fit, etc...
