Default Mysterious wire connection

Hello All, hoping someone can identify a wire connection on a 2010 XFR very close to the battery.
Thw connection wasn’t made on my car but I saw the same wire connected on line and hoped someone would know it’s purpose.

Thanks

Jaguar engineers put it there just to count the number of people who would ask about it. After reading several past posts regarding this connection it seems that several forum members have used it to connect a flux capacitor, which allows time travel when you reach 88mph. Hope this helps.

Seriously, after reading past posts I believe that it is used during shipping of the vehicle and then disconnected by the dealer before delivery. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Stu

It isn't "connected" in that photo either. That is just a square hole in the battery tray with nothing in it. It's just stored there.
