Is there any way to disable not being able to use the navigation while driving? I mean most of the time its my passenger who's going to be typing in the directions. I hate that feature!!

 

Liability issues in some jurisdictions and legality in others. We have a distracted driving law that permits use of built in nav systems but not portable ones even if the portable ones are fixed in place. Stupid.

Now if somebody would make proper driver training mandatory including some skidpad and track work that might actually reduce the accident rate. As things are we are just slowly making everything illegal.

 

Nav system programing is enabled in the 2012 XFs while the vehicle is moving. Because the Nav system is different, I don't think prior model years can be altered to allow that feature.

 

Also, Jaguar voice would allow on the move nav system programming I should think. With enough money you can retro fit Jaguar voice I believe, but I do not know for sure.
