Default New to Jag

I just bought my first Jag, a 2009 XF Premium. Great car!
I know this is a rather general question but for those who are more enlightened than I, can you give me advice on:

1. Must-Have addons (factory or aftermarket)
2. Recalls that should be done
3. Any maintenance tips or things to watch out for

Thanks

-Mike

Visit a dealer to search your VIN to ensure all recalls and service actions have been completed. Transmission selector and fuel filler flap are critical as they will fail.

Congratulations and welcome.

Some popular mods are:

Rear spoiler,

Replacement of rotaray knob with 2012 knob (either OEM or Mina Gallery aftermarket)

Exhaust system upgrade (aftermarket)

Lowering springs (aftermarket)

Lighted door sills (OEM)

Aluminum gas, brake and footrest pedals (OEM or aftermarket)

DRL LED lights, blade type (aftermarket) are most popular

ceramic brake pads and/or slotted rotors (aftermarket)

Chrome exhaust finishers (haven't seen too many of these, but I like the look personally)

Umbrella holder in trunk.

Black/Chrome grille or all black grille.

Various chrome trims vs. standard painted

LED lighting replacements.

ECU tune for more power

Those are the ones I've seen here off the top of my head. Opinions vary on whether these are worthwhile.

I have the rear spoiler. First I would likely get a black/chrome grille, and replace the rotary shifter. I like the lighted sills, exhaust finishers, and trunk umbrella holder. If I didn't need expensive snow tires I could have almost done all of the above already.

P.S. Edit: After market wheels. Two sites to look at are Mina gallery and adamesh, both with Jag specific aftermarket upgrades.

ECU tune likely not available for non supercharged engines.

TSW makes some nice wheels for the XF. Also, Coventry.

Be careful when shopping for wheels. Only post Ford acquisition wheels are correct fit, the older XJ and XK8 wheels don't fit.
