New Member Charles A Introduction
I have three Jaguars in the family now (so far). It is high time to start contributing to the online community instead of just reading old posts.
Started with an 06 X-type for my daughter and liked the drive so much I started converting other family vehicles as they came due.
Currently, I am overhauling an '03 4.2L supercharged, Once complete, the '09 will go under the wrench.
These should be ready in time for the Lincolns to head to the vehicular great beyond.
I am hunting for an alternative to the plastic valve covers. If anybody has a suggestion, please let me know.

Jealous? Hardley.
I’m a want-a-be.
I buy significantly distressed vehicles and do my best to keep them running. With a little luck, I will have 2 of the 3 running daily by March.
Less than $10K in purchasing all 3 combined, and probably another $5K in parts already.
I am about to dump $1,100 in two timing chain kits for the two V8s.
Dreaming of an F type R, but those will probably never make it to my price range.

I'd agree, the F-Type is more like a work of art... and for me the cost+insurance etcetera are a lot ofr a summer car.
(I'm lucky enough to run a Summer XFR and Winter truck (Dodge) but that's helped by;
1. Work from home, so virtually any gas bill is low
2. Insurance is low since I insure as "recreational use" because I don't commute
3. The XFR flies under the insurance radar a bit because its a 4 door/sedan
(I recall XFR was $2400 annual and F-Type was $3800 annual... when I asked around)
