Default "New" Wheels

Decided to get the wheels powder coated flat black with a semi gloss finish and had the letters painted lambo orange. I think they turned out pretty well. Now I need to get the windows tinted.

For now yes, the previous owner had the wheels touched up and who ever did it painted the wheels ON the car and the calipers have silver streaks on them. I did find out the mr clean magic eraser will take the silver paint off.

You definitely need to paint the lettering and calipers to match. Otherwise it's very distracting to the eye. Painting the lettering was a cool idea though...

I definitely agree with Kyanite... Personally I would paint the calipers the same orange as the lettering... Black and orange look awesome together...

How did you paint the lettering? Your car looks very similar to mine but my lettering isn't painted. Did you do it yourself or have it done. I think I might like to paint mine red to match my calipers.

I had the shop powder coat and paint the letters. I was told it took them four tries before they were happy with the letters no idea what process they ended up using.

When they used a brush to paint them they did not look good.

That is something i didn't think about until you guys mentioned it. I am guessing the calipers would have to be taken off the car broken down and painted.

Might not happen for a while since it is my daily driver.

I'm considering having my 19" Portfolio wheels powdercoated in a gloss gunmetal grey, mind sharing the costs for the work you had done?

Total was $800 dealer picked up $300 due to a wheel refinishing deal they offer. I got it from them when I bought the car, they will refurbish two wheels a year for two years. Basically they give you $150 for each wheel. Not a bad deal i thought.

Now get rid of that chrome trim to complete the blackout. It's quite distracting.
