Default New XF Owner.

Picked up a 2010 with 35k miles on it.... i thought all 2010's were 5.0L but i guess not. mine ended up being a 4.2L.... Honestly its fast enough for me i was a bit disappointed also this car seemed like it was fully loaded already jesus. for the price i got it for 28k+Tax and license so it came out to a little over 30k and my warranty is up in may... I put zero down cause i have good credit and i have my Infinity G35 as my long distance/daily driver

Took it in already for the above console with the lights it kept flickering on n off had to change the belt it was making a cricket sound and a plastic by the passenger feet wasnt in all the way.... im nitpicking right now to take everything i can to get fixed before warranty is up....

My steering wheel is making a noise when i turn the car on and off when its adjusting thats next... Anything else you guys recommend i should keep an eye on?

Sound system, does this luxury base model have an amplifier/subwoofer im confused about the sound system? whats the difference between the one in the premium and this one? thanks guys I LOVE my Jag.

cant edit my post..

i meant to put disappointed that it was a 4.2 cause i thought all 2010's came in 5.0L but i really dont mind it... love it and has enough power for what i want.. i should have done more research on the 2010 models.

Welcome to the forum goingpro,

There's so many colour / trim / options on late model Jaguars, you almost need to sit down with the original brochure to see exactly what you have.

Easiest way to explain the B&W Premium Sound is the listing from the Parts Catalogue:

Essentially amplifier and more speakers.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.

In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Default Dash

I would check the dash board to see if it has bubbled along the windshield. It's very common. I had mine replaced 2 weeks ago on my 2010.

Congrats on the purchase. Sound like you got a good buy. The 4.2 is a great engine with good reliability record and good MPG. You should be happy with it on the long run.
