Default no hot air front vent

Hi, I have this issue with my xf 2009, it doesn't blow hot air from the front right or left vent. I changed my auxiliary coolant pump since a couple of days now and I haven't noticed any changes. Did I needed to flush the hoses ? or is this problem related to the heater core ?

P.s the car start to blow hot air when the engine turn between 1500 and 2500 rpm but as soon as I stop to a light and the car start to idle the cold air come back -__-

running out of ideas and patience here, lol I'm about to put the car on fire. XD

Sounds like you have a stuck open thermostat.

Since we don't have temp gauges, you could use do a good scanner and see what the coolant temp is after "warm-up".

Or just take it to the shop.

Are you getting heat on the floor while getting cold out the vents?

If you are, then it is not the t-stat, but if you get no heat, I would look at the t-stat again.

I guess I will check it again but I'll try to bleed the coolant system first just to see if it work.

Thang,

You have to take the front under panel off..then you have a drain valve on the bottom of the radiator. Be sure to open the Expansion tank cap so as to prevent a vacuum in the system as it drains..Refilling with 50/50 mixture of distilled water...Extended life coolant meeting Jag specs (Prestone Dex-Cool works, The orange stuff)..You can also get the 50/50 premixed version too.

Fill system: all the way to top and then squeezing the big coolant hoses top and bottom, to help burp any air out..Cap off the Expansion tank and start car and bring it up to temp...let it run for about 10 minutes and then shut off the car and let it cool off completely..Top off coolant tank again and repeat...Just keep an eye on the coolant expansion tank level for a few days as more coolant will settle in as more air is escaping.
